MOROCCO BY MARIAM

I will speak about the country of my origin which is MOROCCO.I went there two years ago for the last time.

In MOROCCO there are a lot of tourists from all over the world but there is also a part of my family.
One of my traditions of this country is to offer tea to the guests and one another the « henna » on our hands or feet.

The landscapes are very different because there are beaches but also the very famous desert « Sahara ».There are lots of interesting places as the souks of Marrakech or the big mosque of Casablanca.

The meals of MOROCCO are very delicious , the cakes are amazing and beautiful , the most traditional meal is the « couscous » .
Moroccan weddings are very special: the husband goes to the parents’ wife’s house with the cortege to take her in a magnificent room to celebrate the wedding.

MOROCCO is a single country with its traditions and landscapes.
It is Welcoming
Welcome to MOROCCO !!

MY TRIP TO TURKEY IN 2007 BY DYLAN

In 2007, I went to Turkey with my English teacher during the European week with other students from Rumania, Turkey and Poland.

First, the French students visited Istambul with the Blue Mosque and the Great Market. Then, we flew to Esme to join the other students at the airport. we introduced each other in English because we had to speak English only.

The following day, we slept in a boarding school. MY roommates were Turkish, Rumanian and Polish. It was a bit difficult to communicate for me because I was only in 'quatrième' - the equivalent of year 9- while they were a bit older and their English was better.

We played games to get to know each other better. Everyday, one nationality was in charge of organising the evening activities. For example, the Turkish organised a Turkish wedding. The French learnt traditional songs and dances from Britanny. We also learnt a Polish dance while we played Romanian games.

We visited a university where students learn to weave kilims, which are traditional rugs. We also visited the city of Kilim with its mosque. We also had some free time to go shopping. I only bought lots of water because it was very, very hot. We also went swimming. We visited a traditional house where there were all the tools to weave the kilim. We also went to a Turkish restaurant with lots of fish. It was fun because we ate on the ground, sitting on very comfortable cushions.

It was a great experience because the landscapes are different. I loved everything, especially the traditional music and dance festival.

My country of origin by Trinh

The country where I traveled is Vietnam. At first I am going to speak to you about clothes. The «ao dai » is the famous Vietnamese traditional dress worn daily or for ceremonies. Its literal meaning in Vietnamese is “ long dress “. The monuments are the « Forbidden Purple City and other imperial palaces built within the walls of a citadel located in the heart of Hue, the temple of Literature, St Joseph Cathedral, the Bay of Halong .
The food is vermicelli, rice, noodles, and nems with the fish sauce (nuoc mam)

My opinion :
I like Vietnam because the weather is good; there is the sun everyday . The people are very cool and very nice.
