How dare you? Anyway, as far as I know, England did not do that well, either! The most important is to be able to lose in grand style. This is something the French have been doing perfectly well for a very long time: "Messieurs les Anglais, tirez les premiers!"
first loser, second loser, what is the difference? they are losers all the same!! plus, France and Ireland have always been friends. In short, when Ireland wins and England loses, France wins, too. That may not seem rational to your logical English mind, but the heart does not speak the same language as the brain. irish and friench people alike think with their hearts.I'm afraid you simply can't get it
I agree France and Ireland have always been friends, France and Scotland as well. Do the French like the Welsh? It wouldn't be a surprise because all the peoples the English have beaten in the past seem to stick together now for safety!

Your right England were second and that is also known as the first loser. Of course that is a lot better than the second loser!
