LAND ART some paintings we like

Maryam

River by Andy Goldsworthy

I can see a lot of trees and branches. They are green and brown. They are made up of rocks and icicles which look like ice stalagmites in a line, standing on a rock in the foreground.
The light passes from day to night. It represents the passage of time like in a film called Twilight.
The white ice water flows. The branches are everywhere in the picture

In my opinion, this picture is beautiful. I think there is a contrast between the optimistic
transparent light colours and the pessimistic black colours.

Sarah

Passage by Andy Goldsworthy

Here we have a photo by the artist Andy Goldsworthy taken in December 2003. He is an English artist born in 1956. In the photo, we can see a rock under stalagmites. In the foreground, we can see many rocks. In the background, we can see a hill with trees.
This piece was made in memory of dead Jewish soldiers.

For me, this artwork is very well done and amazing.
